WHOLISTIC EQUINE CENTER LLC

The whole horse holistically, Empowering horse & rider!
WHAT MAKES US WHOLE...At Wholistic Equine Center we teach people and train horses with integrity and the principles we live by. We take into account their psychological, physical and social needs, as seen as a whole. The holistic view on treatment is widely accepted in medicine, and the foundation of our training & teaching philosophy. Many horses have problems as a result of physical, emotional, social and environmental imbalances.
We serve to address these imbalances taking into account each individuals needs—learning style, body type, and level of confidence.

SOME BASIC PRINCIPLES
We know that all animals learn and retain information when in a calm nurturing environment.
Here are some of our basic principles of learning.
•Fights are always avoided and extremely counterproductive.
•Always end on a positive note and know when to quit.
•Horses need time to think about what is being asked without being drilled.
•Flexibility in the body through lateral movements is important as well as being also to be flexible
with our agendas for each session.
•Collaboration on realistic goals can be achieved.
When we are having fun usually the horse is also enjoying the work and learning! To learn more on TTouch and Connected riding info please go to

Connected Riding

"The WEC has been a part of mine and my daughters life for the past year. Laura has helped us to overcome fear and build confidence and self-esteem,through working with horses and teaching us how to be confident. This has been apparent not only in working with horses but also in our personal lives. Laura has a way with horses and teaching that is gentle yet firm. Her teaching style is easily understood and she is very patient with even the oldest and slowest learner!! (that would be me). Our family will forever be indebted to Laura for her dedication in helping us with horse knowledge and handling." – Sandra Bois
